We have had this for 2 years. My daughter is now 6 and still plays with this. It is durable and functions great. It is extremely simple to add music to this from your own cds. would recommend this to anyone with a small child who loves music.

Christmas Gift
Our 4 year old loves the fact she can listen to her music anytime any place. She has even learned how to operate the Fp3 player by herself. It's so easy and user friendly.

Great Idea/Poor Product: Dont BUY  
This is a great idea but should be more user friendly. I should be able to to use my itunes to download on to my daughters FP3 player.. this is just a way for us to spend more money on our children. THis thing is a pain in the A&#. I cant download anything without it messing up. As much as I spent on this thing I should be able to put anything on it. I have to pay for everything. I havent been able to put any stories on it at all. It wont take it..and

Doesnt work for long  
I thought this toy was a great idea and was very excited to buy it for my daughter. We bought it as a gift and she loved it. The first issue and it was one I was aware of before purchasing was that you have to have a windows based operating system for the product. No problem we pulled out the old laptop and used that. Everything loaded and worked just fine as far as the software was concerned. After the first use it stopped working. It would start to play a song and then change to just a high pitch hum instead of music. It did this everytime. I called support they thought it was the batteries. Put new batteries in reset the system reinstalled the software and nothing worked. I had to return it to Mattel for a refund. Very disappointed. :2010-09-16 02:07:02

Too Expensive  
I bought this item for my daughter almost 4 years ago. We loved it an it worked great. We bought it for about $59.00. It finally stopped playing and we cannot get it to work. I came on here to try and find a new one since the fp3 player seems to be dicontinued just to find that people want to sell it for about $200! That is absolutely ridiculous.
